✍ J. Dobaczewski; N. Michel; W. Nazarewicz; M. PΕ‚oszajczak; J. Rotureau πŸ“‚ Article πŸ“… 2007 πŸ› Elsevier Science 🌐 English βš– 921 KB

Theoretical predictions and experimental discoveries for neutron-rich, short-lived nuclei far from stability indicate that the familiar concept of nucleonic shell structure should be considered as less robust than previously thought. The notion of single-particle motion in exotic nuclei is reviewed

Reactions of exotic nuclei
✍ I.J. Thompson; Y. Suzuki πŸ“‚ Article πŸ“… 2001 πŸ› Elsevier Science 🌐 English βš– 298 KB

Reaction theories are presented that can deal with the large size and strong breakup couplings of exotic halo nuclei, leading to elastic scattering and breakup cross sections. Glauber, adiabatic and coupled-channels methods are demonstrated which include virtual breakup effects nonperturbatively.
