Two novel triterpenoid saponins, Snatzkein A and B, were isolated from Arenaria ülicaulis Boiss. One possesses an unusual 2º-O-hydroxyethylated glucose moiety. Their structure and conformational behaviour were investigated by one-and two-dimensional 1H and 13H NMR spectroscopy.

A novel triterpenoid saponin, Snatzkein E, was isolated from Arenaria Ðlicaulis Boiss. It possesses a new aglycone and a glucose moiety carrying a sulfate group at C-2@. Its structure and conformational behaviour were investigated by one-and two-dimensional 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopy.
## Abstract 3α‐Acetyl‐20(29)‐lupene‐24‐oic acid (**1**) was isolated from the gum resin of __Boswellia serrata.__ Its presence evidently suggests, that the oxidosqualene triterpene pathway of __Boswellia serrata__ closely resembles the biosynthetic route already found in other plants. Complete ^1^H
