✦ Synopsis
Abstract
The seeds of Nigella sativa Linn contain a new isobenzofuranone derivative, 5‐hydroxy‐2,2‐dimethyl‐2,8‐dihydro‐6__H__‐furo[3,4‐g]chromen‐6‐one (1), obtained from the CHCl~3~ extract. Complete ^1^H and ^13^C assignments of the compound were carried out using one‐dimensional steady‐state difference NOE together with HMQC and HMBC experiments.
