In the title mononuclear nickel(II) complex, [Ni(C 17 H 21 N 2 O)(N 3 )], the Ni II atom is four-coordinated by the phenolate O, imine N and amine N atoms of one Schiff base ligand, and by the terminal N atom of an azido ligand, forming a square-planar geometry.
