✦ Synopsis

The 1H and 13C NMR spectra of O-methyllaureolol were assigned utilizing the 2D HMQC and HMBC correlation techniques. The hydrogens and carbons of the steroid nucleus and its side-chain were completely assigned using the HMQC and HMBC in concert, with the aid of DEPT spectra which give the types of all carbon atoms. A NOESY spectrum conÐrmed its stereoconÐguration.
