β¦ Synopsis
A three-body model for two-neutron halos is applied on 6He and 11Li to describe ground and continuum properties, S-matrix poles, transition strength functions, invariant mass spectra and momentum distributions, including diffraction, in break-up reactions. We relate these properties to those of 5He and lΒ°Li. Essentially all measured results are reproduced, except the p-resonance observed at about 0.5 MeV in lΒ°Li.
