The two diamine pentamolybdates, (C 2 H 10 N 2 ) [Mo 5 O 16 ] and (C 4 H 12 N 2 ) [Mo 5 O 16 ], have been hydrothermally synthesized (1803C, 24 h, autogenous pressure). The ethylenediamine pentamolybdate was powdered and its structure was solved ab initio from conventional X-ray powder di4raction. S
The crystal structure of the new oxide Pb 2 V 5 O 12 was determined from X-ray single crystal and neutron powder diffraction data. The oxide is monoclinic, space group P2/c with a = 8.408(2), b = 5.017(1), c = 11.940(2) A Γ , b = 98.42(3)Β°, Z = 2. The crystal structure of Pb 2 V 5 O 12 consists of i
