✦ Synopsis
A new 123-related compound, LaBaPrCu3OT+6, has been prepared. X-ray and electron diffraction patterns show that the compound is tetragonal with cell parameters of a=b=3.877 ,~, and c= 11.597 .,~. The oxygen content in the compound is 7.36, as determined by the iodomctric titration method. Although it possesses a structure identical to that of the tetragonal superconductor LaBaCaCuO, LaBaPrCuO does not reveal any superconductivity above 4.2 K.
