## Abstract Atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP) was employed to prepare graft copolymers having poly(MBr)‐__alt__‐poly(St) copolymer as backbone and poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) as branches to obtain heat resistant graft copolymers. The macroinitiator was prepared by copolymerization of
