✦ Synopsis
The Sr 1؊x La x Ti 1؊x Cr x O 3 (04x41) system was synthesized at 15003C for about 60 h. Their structures were analyzed by the use of powder X-ray di4raction data and Rietveld analysis software GSAS (General Structure Analysis System). Three solid solutions are found: cubic solid solution Sr 1؊x La x Ti 1؊x Cr x O 3 (04x40.168, space group Pm3 m), rhombohedral solid solution Sr 1؊x La x Ti 1؊x Cr x O 3 (0.234x40.67, space group R3 c) and orthorhombic solid solution Sr 1؊x La x Ti 1؊x Cr x O 3 (0.924 x41, space group Pnma). The conductivities of this series were measured mainly from 25 to 4503C. It was found that this series changed from dielectric material SrTiO 3 to semiconductor LaCrO 3 continuously. The highest conductive sample was found to be Sr 1؊x La x Ti 1؊x Cr x O 3 with x ؍ 0.92, whose conductivity at room temperature was about 5 ؋ 10 ؊3 ؊1 cm ؊1 .
