The structural state of Nb-Ti (45 and 50 wt% Nb) alloys after thermomechanical treatment (TMT), and the influence of TMT on their mechanical properties, plastic deformation characteristics and electrical resistance are studied in the temperature range 295-4.2 K. It is shown that the direct and reve

β¦ Synopsis
The structure of Ti-45wt %Nb alloy traated under different conditions and strained at 4.2 K has been studied by transmisdon electron microscopy (TEM). A considerable differance in defect structures after low-temperature straining was found between recrystallized samples and the samples drawn and drawn with subsequent annealing at 375 Β° C Twinning on the [112] and apparently on [110] planes was observed in the recrystallized samples strained at 4.2 K. Partial detwinning was found after rawarming to room tomporotura.
