Neutron powder diffraction studies have been performed on \(\mathrm{Li}_{2} \mathrm{FeCl}_{4}\) at 298,498 , and \(698 \mathrm{~K}\). The resulting powder profiles were fitted by the Rietveld method to final \(R_{\mathrm{I}}=6.9,3.2\), and \(4.0 \%\), respectively. The orthorhombic room-temperature
