This new phase is present for A-site ionic radius ͗r A ͘ was determined from neutron powder large values of ͗r A ͘ at low temperature, and transforms diffraction data. In addition to the well-known Pnma and R3c into the well-known R3c phase with increasing temperaphases, a new orthorhombic phase, with space group Imma, ture through a first-order transition.

Polycrystalline samples of modified lead germanate Pb 4.9 A 0.1 Ge 2.7 Si 0.3 O 11 A Ca; Sr; Ba have been prepared by solid-state reaction technique. X-ray studies have been carried out to check the formation of single-phase composition and to obtain preliminary structural data. Measurements of diel
