Polythiophene Γlms of di β erent thicknesses were obtained by electrochemical polymerization of thiophene on to oxidizable (Zn, Fe and Al) and noble (Pt) metals. Resonance Raman and x-ray photoelectron analyses indicated, on the one hand, a better structural organization of the Γlms synthesized on to

β¦ Synopsis
The clathrates of Ni-and Co-Werner complexes with 0-, m-, and p-xylenes were studied in order to explain the controlling factors affecting clathration. The complexes and their clathrates have been investigated using an analytical X-ray powder diffraction procedure for the structure determination. It was found that clathration degrades the lattice symmetry, deforms the crystal and decreases the cell volum when accompanied by a change in the crystallographic system. The possibility of clathration increases as the cell volume of the complex (host) increases. Lower polarity and better fitting into the complex lattice increase selectively. Thus, clathration is strictly governed by the shape and polarity of the guest molecule rather than its volume.
