The water-soluble polysaccharide fraction, isolated from the bark of C. pen&n&a var. indica by delignification, contained L-rhamnose, o-xylose, Larabinose, D-glucose, D-galactose, o-glucuronic acid, and b-galacturonic acid. Fractionation using Cetavlon and ethanol gave two acidic polysaccharides, ea
