In most of the models of hadronic collisions the number of exchanged colour strings grows with energy and atomic numbers of the projectile and target. At high string densities interaction between them becomes important, which should melt them into the quark-gluon plasma state in the end. It is show

โฆ Synopsis
Recent experimental data on antibaryon production outside nucleon-nucleon kinematic limits have been obtained in Pb--Pb collisions at SPS energies. We present a possible explanation for this phenomenon based on the existence of an interaction mechanism. String Fusion Model results axe compared to the data and predictions axe also presented.
