A number of theories have been proposed concerning the means of avoiding host's encapsulation by parasitoid larvae. Our available data, however, are still not sufficient to explain the encapsulation-inhibiting effects of the gregarious endoparasitoid Cotesia (= Apanteles) glomerata on its larval hos
