AI&r&-The stress and displacement field around a circular-arc interface crack between a rigid cylinder and an infinite elastic medium is analyzed. Two process zones at the crack tips along the interface are formed, and a concentrated force P is applied at the center of the cylinder along the x-axis. The solution is given by the Fourier series. It is shown that both tensile and shear stresses exist along the interface but no oscillation appears.
