✦ Synopsis
The analytic solutions for stress concentration around a circular interface crack between two dissimilar elastic planes under uniform tension are given and discussed. A process zone with both stresses and displacements at a crack tip and along the interface is assumed, and then some new weight functions are determined which can relax the stress oscillation zone for a special circular interface. It is shown that the stress distribution and displa~ments have smoothed shapes. Although the solutions are the elastic ones, the violent oscillations found in past studies do not occur.
