This article defines and describes the concepts of strategy and tactics in ways that can be applied to business operations in general, and to competitive intelligence in particular. Its aim is to dispel ambiguity and confusion over the meaning and use of these terms. The author relates examples from military history to contemporary competitive business scenarios.
