✦ Synopsis

The perturbative quark mass corrections to the tau hadronic width are studied to O(& &). Including up to dimension four corrections, we get m,(4 GeV') = (143 f 42) MeV [m,(l GeV') = (193 ZIZ 59) MeV 1. Possible improvements to reduce the theoretical uncertainty are pointed out.
