β¦ Synopsis
Interacting
spin-wave modes pumped by microwave radiation in magnetic crystals display a rich variety of nonlinear dynamic effects such as self-oscillations, intermittency, period multiplication bifurcations and chaos. We review recent experiments in this area and present measurements to characterize strange attractors at the onset of chaos in two frequently observed scenarios.
The data support the two-mode theory of the chaotic dynamics of spin-wave instabilities.
