The relaxation time, T,, of the order peak has been measured over 9 cycles of ten; this corresponds to data obtained in the range 155Β°C to 575Β°
The lengthening rates of needle and plate precipitates of alpha phase from beta brass are examined. Measured kinetics are compared with rates expected from volume diffusion considerations. Needle lengthening in ordered beta brass is found to be compatible with the volume diffusion model
