We investigate stimulated Brillouin scattering in six different ( ) lengths of dispersion compensating fibers DCFs using two laser ( sources at 1556 nm, one with a very narrow linewidth ; 100 ) ( ) kHz and one with a large linewidth ; 100 MHz . Our results are comparable to those of non-dispersion-s
