## Abstract Cupric acetate dissolved in methanol was applied, for the first time, to the synthesizing of Y‐junction carbon nanotubes (CNTs). This was done by catalytic CVD of the methanol solution at 1000–1200 °C. Based on the bamboo structure, which was observed for the first time within Y‐junctio
