β¦ Synopsis
A method has been derived for computer plotting of four-component chemical systems (tetrahedra), using the program OI~TEP (Johnson, 1965). Stereo pairs can be produced and the tetrahedron viewed from any desired position. The only input information needed is phase composition and tie-line arrangement within the tetrahedron.

## Abstract The determination of distillation boundaries for fourβcomponent mixtures that exhibit azeotropy is studied. It is shown that these distillation boundaries correspond to local maxima in surface areas under conditions of LeviβCivita parallelism. An extension of the optimization methodolog
