✦ Synopsis
The University of Michigan has announced the expansion of its programme in Occupational Health and Safety Engineering, designed to educate graduate engineers in the contemporary techniques and methods that can be used to minimize occupational health and safety problems while maintaining a high level of man/ machine productivity. The MS option in OHSE consists of 30 credit hours of coursework and projects drawn from both the Departments of Industrial and Operations Engineering and Environmental and Industrial Health. The programme can be completed in one year, and offers the opportunity to continue to the PhD level. Some of the topics covered are environmental phsyiology, industrial hygiene, human factors, biomechanics, safety design engineering, epidemiology, control of the industrial environment, etc. For further information, contact Profs Don
