โœฆ Synopsis

Steady analysis of an evacuated tubular collector fixed at the focus of a compound parabolic concentrator (CPC) has been developed to obtain the performance equations of HWB type for such a collector system. Unlike previous studies, the effect of vacuum leak on the performance has been studied. Numerical calculations have been performed to analyse the effect of various parameters on the collector's efficiency.

In the present investigation a theoretical analysis has been presented for the modelling of thermal and electrical processes of a hybrid PV/ T air heating collector coupled with a compound parabolic concentrator (CPC). In this design, several CPC troughs are combined in a single PV/ T collector pane
