โœฆ Synopsis

equipotential lines obtained experimentally in the electrolytic tank using a narrow probe.l, 2 An alternating voltage of several tens (or hundreds) of Hz and amplitude U --100 to 200 V is applied to the electrodes in the tank containing water electrolyte, to avoid effects due to polarization of the dielectrics near which the measurements are carried out, and measurements are made with a valve voltmeter. It can be seen from the figure, in which several characteristic types of superconducting surface are shown, that either a concentration (g, h) or a weakening of the current (c, d) is possible for certain conditions.

In conclusion, it must be pointed out that the field distributions shown were obtained for two dimensionalsurfaces of rectangular shape. The method described for determining the magnetic field distribution near superconductors makes it fairly easy to study the characteristics of various superconducting structures on models at room temperature.

The thermal stability of composite superconductors with uniformly distributed current under composite finite transverse heat conduc tion has been investigated within the continuous medium model. The critical disturbance energies which specify the upper limit of allowed heat generation uniformly dist
