โฆ Synopsis
M
y wonderfully Irish grandmother always seemed to have a ready philosophy to cover any of life's situations, and as I have eagerly followed the resurgence of interest in home dialysis, I couldn't help but think of her. On more than one occasion, she would remark, "You know, sweetie, everything in life comes full circle if only you are patient."
Although she undoubtedly had never even heard the term dialysis, happily, she has been proved right. From the pre-conference symposium at the 2008 Annual Dialysis Conference to blogs and discussion boards on the Internet, home treatment has again become a very hot topic. Websites such as Home Dialysis Central, Bill Peckham's "Dialysis from the Sharp End of the Needle," and Renal Support Network's "Kidney Times" help to educate kidney disease patients about the option of staying at home with dialysis.
