✦ Synopsis

This is a status report from the BABAR experiment at the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center. It has been designed to measure time-dependent asymmetries in the decays of neutral B mesons (CP violation), whose interpretation in the Standard Model is directly related to the parameters of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa mixing matrix.
