## Abstract A nonorbital representation of the many‐electron atomic systems is proposed. It is obtained by considering a certain equivalence class of mappings ƒ: ϵ → Π from the set ϵ of __N__ electrons into the set Π of __Z__ protons. Total binding energy of the systems (__Z__ = 3,4,…, 18; __Z__ −
