Fundamental antenna effects of a dielectric substrate backed by a perfectly conducting ground plane and excited by elementary dipoles are studied. The effect of the surface wa¨es and the radiation efficiency as a function of substrate thickness and permitti¨ity are analyzed.

The inverse spectral problem for porphin is solved by the regularized least squares method. For determining 30 force constants related to in-plane molecular vibrations, 256 frequencies of porphin and its four deuteratcd derivatives are used. The form of the porphin molecule vibrations is discussed.
