The best separation of, the cis-and tYamTI,2-, and z,3cyclohexanediols was obtained when 30 o/o XFrr50 was used. Finally, the complete separation of @-methoxy-2a,8a-epoxycyclohexane from Ia-methoxy-2a,8c+epoxycyclohexane, was readily effected using the 30 o/o XFrr50 cyanosilicone substrate. Separation of these isomers by fractional distillation is waczco, on the other hand, always gave appreciable quantities of fractions which contain both of the epoxides,
