We present optical pumpΒ±probe experiments carried out in Cd 1Β± Β±x Mn x Te/ZnTe multiple quantum wells to study the dynamics of excitons, exchange-coupled to Mn spins in the form of magnetic polarons. Excitonic lifetimes in Cd 1-x Mn x Te, Cd 1-x Mg x Te epilayers and CdTe/Cd 1-x Mn x Te, Cd 1-x Mn x Te/Cd 1-y Mg y Te single quantum wells with different well widths and Mn, Mg compositions are investigated. The excitonic lifetimes are found to reduce drastically by applying external magnetic field
