✦ Synopsis
Stark line broadening calculations have been made for the transitions in the 5-8 urn region of the infrared spectrum of atomic oxygen and comparison made to experimental observations. An electron number density N,-. -1 x I 0L4 cm-', and electron temperaturr r,-10000 K, and an electronic temperature r,,, -10000 K have been inferred for a pulsed, laser produced recombining oxygen plasma at 150 Torr total oxygen pressure and observed 10 us after the IO-20 ns laser pulse.
