Le vaisseau a subi une totale mutation technologique qu'aucun vol n'a encore testée. Lors d'une hyperpropulsion on frôle la désintégration. Soudain, dans son immensité terrifiante, l'Intrus surgit sur les écrans de l'Enterprise Et il commence à émettre des messages... des messages mentaux.
