In the year 2140 a terrorist group the Levantest Order launches a coordinated nuclear attack on 238 cities on every inhabited continent, all but three succeed. Other countries being confused, who attacked them, launch retaliatory attacks on suspected perpetrators. Billions die in the initial attack billions die in the aftermath. The world had its reset button pushed, miraculously the world doesnβt plunge into another dark ages. Instead people pulled together race, color and creed took a back seat, survival of the human race was more important.
Fast forward to the year 2290 humanity has recovered enough to again explore the solar system but were still unable to achieve the technology to travel to the stars. While asleep two mysterious men called the watchers visit Dr. Roger Ingles a young genius that was on the verge of developing a revolutionary energy device call the magnetar generator. They provide Dr. Ingles a technology push; the age of fossil fuels comes to an end.
