✦ Synopsis
The length weight relationship was determined for Pseudocalanus nzinutus elongatus, Temora longicornis, Acartia, bifilosa, and Acartia longiremis caught in the Pomeranian Bay (Baltic Sea). To determine th!: weights of the individuals a geometrical method was used and the formula L, = cephalothorax length La =abdomen length La, = 1st antenna length h = cephalothorax height R, =diameter of abdomen cross-section Ran =diameter of 1st antenna cross-section applied. A conversion factor of 1.025, reflecting the density (gxcm-3) of the coastal Baltic water, was used. The correlation coefficient for the relationship studied was found to be about 0.96.
