✦ Synopsis

Polychloromethanephosphonic acid (a partial anhydride) is obtained by heating chloromethanephosphonic acid with its dichloride. Heated with alcohols, polychloromethanephosphonic acid yields the corresponding chloromethanephosphonic monoesters.

Calcium dimethylaminoethyl methanephosphonate treated with dodecyl bromide in alcohol is transformed into the corresponding dodecyldimethylammonium derivative.

By adding iodine to calcium propargyl benzenephosphonate in alcohol, calcium diiodoallyl benzenephosphonate is obtained.
