## Abstract The Ruderman‐Kittel‐Kasuya‐Yosida (RKKY) interaction has been extended to the case when an external magnetic field is taken into account. It has been shown that the RKKY Hamiltonian should contain the Zeeman‐like term in which the effective gyromagnetic factor occurs. This effective gyr
