## Abstract A simple technique of a switchable dual wavelength erbium‐doped fiber laser based on fiber Bragg gratings is proposed and demonstrated by using both the linear cavity loss controlling and the homogeneous gain broadening of EDF. The single or dual lasing wavelength can be also obtained b
