โฆ Synopsis
Since one of the most common methods of synthesizing u 2-D digital transfer function is by the application of the double bilinear transformation on a suitable 2-variable analog function, u set of necessary and suficient conditions for the boundedness, 1, and 1, stabilities of a 2-D digital transfer function are formulated in the analog domain itself. These conditions are expressed in terms qf' the multiplicities qf the zeros of certain resultants qf 2variable polymomials. The results are then applied to study the existence of the double square integral, recently considered by Jury and Ruridunt.
