โฆ Synopsis
The spread spectrum (SS) system has the unique feature that communication and ranging can be realized with an identical system with no degradation of frequency use efficiency. If a spread spectrum system is used for both communication between the vehicle and the road (vehicle road communication) and ranging at the same frequency, by taking advantage of the above feature of the SS, the communication signals and the ranging signals interfere with each other so that the performance of communication and ranging is degraded. A roadvehicle communication and ranging system is proposed in which the performance of the communication and ranging by the spread spectrum system can be improved by using a circuit to eliminate the interference. By computer simulation, the ranging accuracy and the communication bit error rate are evaluated.
