โœฆ Synopsis


Ahstract--ZnO thin films are prepared by an economic method of spray pyrolysis using an ionic solution of zinc acetate. The films of resistivity value 10-t D em and optical transmission of solar radiation about 70ยฐ0 have been obtained. The possibility of using these spray deposited ZnO layers is explored to fabricate the ZnO/p-Si heterojunction solar cells. The open circuit voltage = 0.35 V and short circuit current densities of more than 9.2 mAcm -z have been obtained. In these initial results the fill factor was very tow but the fill factor and open circuit voltage can be improved if the defect-free ZnO layers are produced.
