โฆ Synopsis
C H T U N G T R E N N U N G amidines and -formamidinates can be readily prepared by reaction of N-arylformimidates with lithium phosphanides. These compounds were previously inaccessible by methods for the preparation of phosphaamidines and -amidinates. They have the potential to be precursors of P,N-heterocyclic carbenes, which are as yet unknown.
