โฆ Synopsis
PERFORATION of the common bile duct may occur after blunt, penetrating or surgical trauma. It has also been recognized in association with cholelithiasis, choledocholithiasis and tumour obstruction of the ampulla. However, true spontaneous perforation is rare. We report one of the few adult patients to have no associated cholelithiasis or common duct obstruction and the only case so far reported to occur in the postoperative period.
