Presented is the case of a lO-year-old child who presented in cardiopulmonary arrest from hypovolemic shock due to pathologic splenic rupture of undetermined etiology. Despite aggressive resuscitation efforts, the patient died. Although rare, pathologic rupture of an abnormal spleen must be consider
