β¦ Synopsis
Precise measurements of the inclusive spin structure function gl of the nucleon are reviewed, focussing on recent measurements at SLAC, CERN and DESY. New semiinclusive measurements of the spin structure at CERN and DESY are discussed as well the planned measurements of the gluon contribution to the nucleon. New measurements of observables from transversly polarized nucleons are also briefly mentioned.

Although the bcc phase of Gd only occurs for the pure element at temperatures above 1235Β°C, it is possible by alloying to maintain at low temperatures single phase, Gd-rich samples with the bcc structure. Motivated by the initiation of an experimental program to study bcc Gd alloys at our laboratory
