Abstract
An exact statistical mechanical calculation of certain properties of a one‐dimensional mixed‐spin Ising model is presented. Particular attention is given to the behaviour at very low temperatures. Investigations are centred on questions of spin dependence and of the relation between uniform and staggered field properties.
